AFOB(Asian Federation of Biotechnology)は、アジア地域におけるバイオテクノロ ジー関連研究者の相互理解・協力を促進するために、2008年に設立された団体です。 何卒、宜しく御検討下さいますようお願い申し上げます。 バイオ部会会長 Dear AFOB Japanese Executive Board Members AFOB (Asian Federation of Biotechnology) has been established by the representatives of Asian countries, including China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Vietnam participated in IBS (International Biotechnology Symposium), which was held in Dalian, China on the 12-17th October 2008. Decisions have been made to invite Prof. Toshiomi Yoshida from Japan as the President and Prof. Jung-Keug Park from Korea as the Secretary General, and to have the headquarter office in Korea. AFOB will systematically construct and support the structural foundation for the cooperation among Asian countries in the field of Biotechnology. In addition, ACB (Asian Congress on Biotechnology, the term APBioChEC will be changed to ACB from 2011) and YABEC will be organized and operated under the guidance of AFOB. ABD (Asian Biotechnology Directory) It has been decided that individual members of AFOB, established on the 15th October 2008, will commence from the registered members of ABD. Website for ABD has been opend for years. By the way Japanese registration numbers are stagnant. To attract more registration please encourage Japanese Biotechnology engineers and students to register ABD. http://www.afob.org/ Instruction for the registration at ABD (Asian Biotechnology Directory) If you are an already-registered member of ABD, ID and password will be informed from AFOB. Then, please connect to the homepage provided and click “My page Person”, And login and verify/amend your personal details. ID and password are amendable, and if you wish to rectify the details and then use it, you may do so as you are pleased. From the homepage, it is possible to search each member according to the respective countries, and in the future, it is expected that additional services will be available such as the company search. Please encourage your colleagues to register at >ABD. ABD registration is open to all Biotechnology researchers as well as student members. Please connect to http://www.afob.org, then click ‘Registration Individual’ on the left to input your personal detailed information. When you enter your personal details and click the submission button, the input information will be delivered to the system administrator and then the registration will be completed after the approval from the system administrator. When all the input information has been correctly entered, you will receive a “registration complete” e-mail from the system administrator, and then you may confirm your personal details whether they have been correctly entered using the search function. From the homepage, it is possible to search each member according to the respective countries, and in the future, it is expected that additional services will be available such as the company search and FYI.
